The museum’s documentation center was created when the museum opened in 1984 to promote its collection.
The variety and the uniqueness of its documents is rare. Researchers, students, historians and genealogists may consult many books and publications in connection with the history of trade, of customs and of its buildings.
The Documentation Center also offers documentary, iconographic and genealogic searches.
By appointment only (reservation at least two weeks in advance by telephone or email); Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
Entry and exit of the reader by the 1 quai de la douane on presentation of an ID.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday,
from 10 am to 6 pm.
It is closed on December 25th and January 1st.
